Where counts once resided and the Saxon court celebrated lavish festivities, Europe’s first adventure winery now welcomes its guests every day – recognised as one of the "Unique Wineries of the World" by VINUM. Discover a unique ensemble of baroque architecture, picturesque vineyards and a modern wine estate, refined with selected events, elegant cool-climate wines and the sparkling delights of Germany’s "Best Sparkling Wine Producer" at the 2018 German Sparkling Wine Award. In 2023, Schloss Wackerbarth became the first winery in the new federal states to be certified with the prestigious "FairChoice" sustainability label. In 2024, it was also recognised as one of only two wineries from eastern Germany to receive four grapes in the renowned Gault&Millau Wine Guide – a mark of excellence.
